Winter fun
I have not lived here long, it hasn't been a year just yet. I was so hoping for frost this year so I could jump off my dock and walk and skate the ice. And so it is...
Then my neighbor texted me yesterday, the 'prick sled' contest would be going on tonight. The whole town would come out, I had to be there!! She was fighting for her trophy which she's won the last 3 times they held the contest. I just had to be there! And so I went and I happened to be carrying my camera with me... that was both a lot of fun (I ended up photographing for the local newspaper and website) and a challenge (I only had one lens and no external flesh with me. And with temperature below freezing (14F) it was hard on my fingers ;) Nevertheless, I had so much fun.
