You Capture - Sweet

This is more for my personal blog but since You Capture is about Sweet, these photos will fit right in. This week my cat Jady was to deliver, I had figured out her due date to be on Wednesday the 21st and what have you, it happened just like that.

Right before labor, when nothing was in sight I took these photos. She was waiting it out.

Some hours passed and she went into labor presenting me this, 5 beautiful babies.

Legal

I had this shoot last week, it was at a legal graffiti spot in Amersfoort. This trash can got my attention.

Skywatch Friday

It's quite challenging, Skywatch Friday. Especially since I try not to grab photos from my archive. I love skies so I have a whole stack. When I woke this morning, the sky was grey but it cleared. If it hadn't I would have been at a loss for Skywatch Friday. After a busy work day I headed out to downtown Nijmegen. For some reason I had it in my head to go there for a sky photo. Sometimes you just gotta go with your instinct, though you'll see little of Nijmegen, just her sky, of course!

I love playing with extreem light.

You Capture - Comfort

Earlier this week I shared about the need to get out during work hours. What a blessing it is I don't have to go out far to be able to enjoy the outdoors. I have no excuses for not going out really. The woods are basically my back yard, I have lots of green, animals, fields, birds, wonderful earthy smells, woods and water all in walking distance. And this week You Capture is about Comfort. When I woke up this morning there was no sunshine like the last couple of days, it was grey and wet. Oh no, what would I do for Comfort photos? But the thing I need most these days is Comfort. There are some rather stressful things happening and the one thing that brings me comfort is the outdoors. So by the time it was 1pm, I had already gone out twice and enjoyed long walks. The 2nd time around I brought my camera. There is nothing better than this, and I could still take business calls while out.....

Comfort to me is The Outdoors, water, the smells, the birds, even the rain today. For the most part I enjoyed my Macro. And I had never photographed raindrops. Man that was hard, especially without my tripot. My 105 Macro calls for precision. Any slight movement changes where my focus is at.

My Surroundings

Raindrops

I love how you can see the rib and veins from the leaf through the raindrop

Grass

And here, see how the focus is IN the water drop, you see reflection

Thanks You Capture, for bringing Comfort into my day. Lots of other people found comfort, each and every one in their own beautiful way. Be sure to go over and see.

My World Tuesday

Sometimes you just need a break. And that is the upside to running your own business. I really needed a break from work today, and what better way there is than to go out with your camera, none! I enjoyed a short walk in between phone calls and e-mailing, and decided to go to the windmill, my neighbor (I told you, short walk, didn't have time for more.) "My world Tuesday" was my other motivation. Go here to see what people from all over the world have to say about their world on today, Tuesday.

This one is very similar, but I just love the bird getting in there.

Celebrating Spring with Macro

It's 2nd Easter Day in Holland, which means vacation for many. Not for me though, but before I head out to work I wanted to quickly enjoy today's sunshine after all the rain we've had. I noticed the trees changing last week. It's going fast now..... I love the chestnut trees I look at from my living room window. Their buds are so big.

Skywatch Friday

Through Riet, a Dutch (Photography) Blogger, I found Skywatch Friday. I've know about this challenge for some time but never entered. Since I was on the road today, trying to avoid Easter traffic, mostly from Germany, I took some back roads. So lots of fields and the sun was shining beautifully. I stopped because I knew I shouldn't miss out on the skyline today. So here's my first Skywatch Friday with photos of today actually. I love what photography brings me, it made my day totally worth it.

You Capture - Feet

Because Beth, who initiated the weekly You Capture, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy she asked Keli to host You Capture for a few weeks. It's all about feet. If feet interests you, be sure to pay a visit to Keli's site. There are some cute entries.

I don't particularly like feet, yuck, except when they're kids feet. Than they can be very sweet....
